Hey people.
[The man in the dark shades waved coolly at the screen as he sat on the edge of a small stone fence. It was freezing cold outside but in spite of the clouds that appeared whenever he spoke Crowley didn't seem to notice.]
We've all been brought here, had our powers taken and dolled out to us again in much smaller pieces... it's inconvenient, like being trapped in a baby walker... or trying to save the universe with your hands tied behind your back.
Point is, I need some volunteers who are skilled with Light magic, Healing magic, Animal magic, Kinetic magic and maybe another Elemental magic user who thinks they would be up to controlling sand. Think of it as training.
Also Angel, meet me on the Inn roof before midnight. Not sure it would work with an angel and a demon but if it does we could use some good luck for the new year.
[He doesn't know about the fireworks. Those are going to be a nice surprise.]

Private Video -> Action
That's the problem. Think you can shift that thing? It would be out of the way if you can lift it over this fence.
Action
I had some initial struggles in lifting heavier items for some time, so I was originally cautious about that before practising my magic more diligently. But since you asked, I’ll try my best to get that thing out of the way. It does require me to concentrate though.
(So he motions his right hand with help from Rose who is hiding in his jacket pocket to lift the stump from the ground before he then guides it to float over the fence as instructed.)
Action
That didn't look hard for you at all. How do you think you would do at building? You see
those cut boards over there by the back of the house?
[ Right by the back door of the small cottage there was a pile of precut and worked pieces of lumber from the same farmer who had been trying to clear this field no doubt. ]
Do you think you could use that same magic to put them together... They are supposed to be notched and everything, ready to fit together like Lincoln logs.
Action
(Upon looking at the notched up lumber pieces, he could see that the farmer was trying to build something out of these lumber.
So he carefully brings up the lumber pieces and begins to assemble the lumber together, looking at each notch and locking them into place, and he has built something mighty fine out of them.)
Well, how did it look?
Action
I have no idea what he wanted to use this for but I think it will work. He never said... don't touch the wood pile...
[ Crowley spoke idly to himself as he stood and wandered around the partially built structure. Finally he addressed Harry. ]
Yea, gold star, it looks sturdy enough I don't think it will fall down.
Action
(For as strange as this training is going so far, it is still an interesting experience regardless, at least it gets him to practise his kinetic magic more. He was wondering if there is more in store.)
So, is there anything else you have for me to tackle this time around?
Action
[ This had of course been a demon led conversation in which all the hardships of farm life had been mention in gory detail. The, now, former farmer had been a very easy mark. ]
You up for a real challenge?
Action
(When Crowley brings up some sort of a challenge, it leaves him stunned but he is determined to figure out what this thing he was talking about.)
Um, what is this challenge you speak of?
Action
[ Farm. Crowley caught himself before he said that and hurried over to a pile of sand. ]
Sand! Do you think you could move this sand over the frame you just built? It might be difficult holding all those little pieces together?
no subject
(Harry isn’t sure of Crowley was joking around or not, pouring sand over a wooden frame. Still, he carefully lifts up the sand pile towards the wooden frame and have it pour all over it.
Probably the weirdest training request so far.)
There, a sand pile poured all over an outbuilding frame. Id there still more to do?
no subject
Just hold it there for a minute.
[ The rest was on him as he dramatically gestured at the sand covered structure causing flames to lick up from the ground as hot as anything one might find in Hell itself. The sand grew warm in the flames, turning red and glowing, until each particle melted into a thick goo which flowed and hardened over the framework as the flames died down again. The molten sand gradually hardened into crystal clear glass and a greenhouse was born where there had been nothing before. ]
Now I think we can call your training done!
no subject
Wow, so this is... what the training is about: getting to make a greenhouse of all things? That is the most interesting task/request someone has asked me to do in ever.
no subject
Mm? You're... actually happy about this?
[ That was a strange reaction but hey, he would run with that. ]
Yea, greenhouse. Just having powers isn't enough, you ought to know how to give them a practical use.
no subject
(He is going to play it cool and downplay the whole shock that he has.)
Okay, I see now. That probably makes sense to make good use for them in everyday tasks.
no subject
[ It might actually have been him in some centuries old quip to Aziraphale... or Confucius, difficult to remember which. ]
no subject
(Probably the wrong answer, but at least he knows what a greenhouse is for, since he still has Professor Sprout’s Herbology lessons still simmering in his head, although Neville clearly is better than him in the subject matter.)
no subject
[ Mostly as that was what the former owner had been planning to do and he had already bought the plants for it. ]
I can give those pathetic saplings inside the house a jump start on spring with this greenhouse.
no subject
(Well, he has a lot of time to kill right now, unless Crowley doesn’t want him to. After all, he did mention trying to give those saplings he had found to a good start for spring soon, maybe he could use some help.)
no subject
Yeah, they are just inside the cottage over there.
[ A vague gesture towards the backdoor of a quaint looking little farmhouse. ]
no subject
(Harry gets inside the farmhouse, picking up as many saplings as he could find and bringing them into the greenhouse. Then he finds a couple of pots in the area as well, he also brought them in with kinetic magic.)
no subject
You must have been practicing your magic since you arrived to be able to do all this without getting tired?
no subject
(It does certainly help that he does use kinetic magic at work with barista tasks all the time: after all, it can get super busy at times.)
no subject
[ Maybe it was a kid thing, all that unbottled energy. ]
You ever worked with plants before?
no subject
(He is pretty sure that he has no way to plant and care for grape saplings before this, but hey, it could be a great lesson on gardening that Aunt Petunia wouldn’t even dare to teach him at all.)
no subject
You dig a hole and you drop a plant into it.
