sometimes... people keep secrets to protect others. chara had their own reasons to keep it from me.

( But... they lied. It huts that they did. Asriel wasn't just a child that needed to be protected anymore. And, the fact that they tried to manipulate the truth in his favor doesn't sit well with him at all.

But... he's not mad, either. He's... done so many horrible things. He's manipulated others, too. He can't help but think that Chara did it because they may have been scared. )

So you're telling me he kept a secret from you, and got pissed off because you spoke up upon learning of it? You know, I've just had someone lie to me, lead me on and then try to play it like it was all my fault when the gig was up. I know how it feels.

It hurts. You just want to lay down and for everything to stop. You don't even want to think any more. But you must make a stand. You can't let Chara walk all over you like that.

it can hurt when people keep important things from you. but... chara's always been someone who's had reasons to keep things to themselves. and... i never held that against them.

but, it wasn't just that

i... said some things about them that really hurt their feelings back at home. i didn't know that chara had heard until now.

i told them why i said it, but i think the reason really hurt them. i haven't been a very good sibling

Books are nice when we struggle with our issues. They let us escape in a world our imagination shapes, and sometimes we even find answer to our issues in those worlds.

i think that's why books with adventures can be really fun
you can go to places you'd never be able to go to otherwise

but i never thought to look to them for answers like that

I once read a book and a character reminded me of myself. It motivated me to try playing piano, and today I'm pretty good at it.

You'll never know what you'll get out of a book.
