Okay, looks like not everyone knows about this, so I'm gunna try to get right to the point.

Apparently, someone put out some magic that's given some of you humans animals ears and tails and what not. Personally I think you guys look better that way. But now another dude thinks that A) an animal mage did it, which makes no sense, 'cause last I checked, animal changes can only do that stuff to themselves, and B) thinks the best solution to reverse what's going on by murdering all the animal mages.

Yeah. Solid logic there.

I'm trying to give a head's up here because not only have animal mages been attacked, but so does anyone who already looked like an animal, including yours truly. I've personally seen some of these money-hungry monsters go after kids, so, just to be clear, it's bad out there right now. So if you're an animal mage, or you've always had non-human traits, please be safe! Don't go out alone if you can, stay in groups!

I'm sure we can get this nonsense wrapped up as soon as possible, but until then, let's make sure no one messes with our mages!

I've been trying to help native animal mages, too, so they don't get slaughtered. My secondary magic is healing so that's come in handy a few times, even if I'm still not good at it.

[ ... Then again, maybe he is the strangest thing here, if that's the reaction he's getting from a talking duck. ]

It'd be better if they didn't have to hide at all.

[ He tilts his head, and half-considers making a smart remark ("do I have something on my face?"), but ultimately decides against it. This lady is just trying to help, and Juzo has pretty much accepted that the way he looks just invites questions. ]

[ She snorts, then flexes her arm. It... doesn't show any muscle, especially since she's wearing a pilot's jacket, but it's more about the gesture than the result. ]

They WISH they could land a good hit on me! But I've been fighting monsters five times my size since I was a duckling!

Yeah... I managed to get away from some attackers myself, but it was close...

[ Since then, she's had to spend most of her time indoors... and if she does head outside, she's usually using her magic to turn into something a little more inconspicuous. Like a bird, or something like that. Plus, why is someone making such a big deal about it!? Sure, it's something that Yuzu cannot for the life of her get rid of without turning into a different animal entirely, but the cat-ears and tail aren't that bad. ]
