[As the recording starts, there's the faint sound of movement in the background as Gundham is exploring a bit of forest.]

So, as it seems our 'hosts' - if we can truly call them that - are intent on keeping us here, it would behoove us to acquaint ourselves with the surroundings. I will say that as far as prisons go, this is not the worst. However, I do have a question. Are any that can access this familiar with the local wildlife? I've been attempting to observe but having just arrived, I'm sure my scent is unfamiliar enough to have them on edge.

However... there is wildlife here. That in itself is... unexpected.

A multitude of reasons. The local wildlife could be indicative of where exactly we are, in the event that this place is not as we have been told it was. Knowing what wildlife surrounds us would also be beneficial considering the 'quests' that we are supposed to carry out, unless you would prefer to walk straight into a wolf's den or disturb a sleeping bear.

[Gundham's tone is slightly judgmental as well. After all, there's nothing more pressing than making animal friends.]

[First of all, running headfirst into danger is his middle name. He ain't afraid of no bear. Secondly, the guy's not wrong. It's just the tone that makes Caesar want to match him tit for tat, even if he's the one that technically started it.]

You could walk into one 'observing' without a guide. Asking a local to take you on your wildlife tour would serve you better. I doubt any new arrivals have a grasp on the beasts that live here.

That is precisely my goal. What better way to acquaint myself with the local fauna than to find their dens? Better I than some hapless buffoon.

[Gundham's tone is less condescending than his words would imply at the very least. This is the sound of someone who's done this many times before.]

[Oh my god, this person's going to be eaten alive by some random medieval bear.]

You may end up eating those words and becoming the hapless buffoon yourself. Are you some sort of park ranger?

[There's a chuckle.]

You seek to equate me with a simple ranger? Before arriving in this place, the mortals ascribed to me the title of Ultimate Breeder after I brought several endangered species back from the brink. Their title, while meaningless, did but glimpse at the true scope of my abilities.

[casaposa]

The mortals? You think highly of yourself. Do you think you're some kind of animal god?

[Don't be rude Caesar.]

God? No. A being such as I could never claim such a title, nor would it behoove me to aspire to. I am simply me. That is enough.

[Especially considering the time he... well, wasn't him.]

[casaposa]

[Well, that's better than this rando thinking himself to be a deity, though he still questions the initial comment-the mortals? The hell does that mean? ]

Do you even have a way to defend yourself? If one of those beasts decides to attack you, someone may not be able to save you in time.

They won't.

[He says that in a very matter-of-fact tone as if it were simple logic.]

Predators do not attack humans without sufficient cause. I am not going to give them cause.

[Look, he's not worried or anything because if this guy gets mauled by a magical Winnie the pooh, that's on him.]

I'd like to see you work with my own two eyes then. Where are you?

If you are truly that curious, I will educate you some other time. For now, however, multiple people disturbing habitats would only cause unnecessary antagonism to those calling the forest home.
