I had to become a warlord when I was only 13, and a lot of the generals didn't think I had any brains, because I rejected their traditions, and had a pretty crazy reputation around town. My closest retainers were a commoner, son of a farmer, and a samurai with no home. Mitsuhide was constantly refused positions that required basic things, (like busboy!) because of his smart mouth and he always says what he wants. Most bosses hate that. For me, it's the only reason I've lived this long. Other nobility scoffed at me making a commoner the leader of my army, but I'd put Hideyoshi's genius against all of them combined. Traditions are stupid, but so many people are like that!
We've probably gone to war over less than weak tea. Bushido take tea very seriously. I'm not THAT serious about it! I just don't want it abused either!
