I’ve been asleep for a few weeks. While I was asleep, I went back home, and then to two different worlds, and now I’m back. I’ve been away from this place for two... no maybe three years. Time is acting strange, or maybe my familiar, Larry thought that I’d benefit more here with more experience under my belt.

[He glares gently at a semi-transparent reptile sleeping on the window sill.]

Has anyone else left this world for-

[Gokudera winces and puts a hand to the half choke collar around his neck. The skin beneath it is obviously damaged and irritated.] -such a long span of time, only to come back here and find that it was like... you never left at all? I’ve been to Anchor and Amoi, if anyone else has... let me know.

Also, in one of those worlds, I had this put on me. [He keeps his hand on the collar.]

I think it’s malfunctioning. The only person who can deactivate and remove it safely is... not here yet. So in the meantime, I need it repaired or at least looked at by someone with advanced technological experience.

[Gokudera moves to turn off the feed, and his left hand is lightly scarred, but more important in the visual is the engagement ring on his ring finger.]

I wish it were, but that's not the case. Ahh... it's imperative that it stays around my neck and whatever you do while you take a crack at it, don't tamper with it too much or try to remove it. I may need you to back off if it starts to malfunction.

[ That must have been wet. This Crowley would only recognize an Anchor if it were attached to a ship or if it were a trendy club in SoHo. ]

I may be wrong but I think that's what the buckle is for. Those sorts of things always have a buckle.

That sounds nice. I'd love to feel like I could sleep that long. This just felt like a nap, though. Nothing as long as it actually was...

[Oddly enough for the bomber boy, he recognizes that he has met two different Crowleys. The one on Anchor wanted to take alcohol from a space-bar, and Gokudera helped create some chaos to distract the robotic staff. Good times.]

There's no buckle. On this collar, there is a fingerprint scanner. Like I said, the person who can safely deactivate and remove it is not here. [Which is sort of a lie, but he's not going to go around sharing something that personal on the public network.]

Tch. If only it were that easy.

I remember pissing off the fae once when I was here originally, but don't think I was out much and doing anything they would not have taken kindly to... I think I even helped them rebuild nests, so if anything, I think I left them on a good note.

[He gives a small, sad sigh.]

Guess it doesn't matter what world we're in. That's just how it is. Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Crowley. [He is probably the most unlucky human in this world. Of course, he could be wrong, but he'd like to see someone challenge him to being more unlucky, to make him feel better.]

[That gets a chuckle, but Gokudera doesn't know what to say. It's a reassurance, then.]

Alright. I'll head that way.

[And so he does, because he's interested in a good coffee shop, but still can't shake the feeling that this is all some crazy deja vu. It's been a good while since he's been around so many people, and so many different people. It's... crowded. He gets to the shop and realizes that the person he spoke with will recognize him, but he's anxious not knowing who he was talking with. So nervous he doesn't even think to order a coffee or socialize with anyone. This is lowkey terrifying and a bit of a culture shock.]

Are you saying your familiar can dictate when and where you leave? Or is that something I'm reading hopefully in to?

It's an assumption I'm making.

[Tucked away in at a corner table with some fancy beverage like a hot turtle latte, Noiz scans the other customers with a lazy, bored gaze. Once he spots Gokudera he tosses a small green and navy cube onto the ground. It's one of his rabbit cubes, and it starts hopping with a sproingy sort of sound until it hits Gokudera's pant leg and chirps out in an electronic voice: "Smoking bomb! smoking bomb! P~!" Its geometric face panel lights up with a flicker.

Should Gokudera pick the talking cube up, he'll spot Noiz seated at his table with an identical cube sitting atop the table.]

Damn, you had my hopes up. Other than sleep was there any other indicators before you got sent to those other places?

[Gokudera at first doesn't notice the cube until it hops and hits his leg, then he's looking down at it with honest curiosity. He picks it up and sets it on the table, then gives a slight start when he notices Noiz at his table.

Oh... he recognizes him. But... they're strangers? He can't say he actually got along with Noiz, but it's not that this person was cruel to him. Their interaction was... interesting. It's in the past now, anyways. Time for a clean slate.]

Did you make this?

[He motions at the rabbit cube, looking impressed.]

Not my intention. There is nothing that jumps out at me as an indicator.

[He gestures to the seat across from him.]
