[ Attached is a picture of one of the spider nests in the Red Hills. It's from a wary distance but there are no spiders visible; only their many, many webs. The picture comes with a VOICED message: ]

I had thought to tackle this task myself, but I quite overestimated the number of arachnids here. I would like to collect some of this venom for myself in addition to what this quest asks, and for that I require some help.

[ A pause. ]

A healer would be a boon but I care not so long as you are capable.

I would be willing to lend my hand as a healer. Luckily, outside of the healing magic I am also a doctor.

Should you need that venom to make an antidote? Some sort of medicine?

You are free to come and help me harvest some then. But I hear that it cannot be kept for long.

Arachnids are all.... skitter skitter glare glare snaps at you- eeugh! [ She makes an audible whimpering sound after. ]

... I wonder if I could turn into one, though? But I hate looking at them!

[ A few minutes and then another picture comes: this one is from a different angle and just barely depicts one of the spiders crouched at the corner of a web. ]

Large enough to be a danger to the average man. They will be dangerous to subdue.

I am an alchemist. I would like to see if I can brew an antidote from their own venom.

[ And...maybe a poison. But she doesn't need to know that. ]

An antidote, yes. I shall leave the making of restorative potions to the chirurgeons. I've not dabbled in potion-making for years so these creatures present a wonderful opportunity.

That is for you to find out. Frankly, if you could transform into one that would save me repeat journeys and the risk. I could simply obtain the venom from you.

Then you'll have to help me find out. My body changes too severely and it's frightening if it takes on too much of a transformation like that.

Apparently it goes off. Which is why the spiders must be captured alive or their venom harvested fresh.

Of course they are. Still, means the chances of them slipping away are slimmer. Maybe the venom will be easier to get thanks to their size.

[Always had to borrow Haruka's tools for this. Yet if they were bigger, seemed like she could afford to be a tad less careful.]

I would also be willing to work on it with you, should you need the help. Though admittedly I’ve made very few antidotes in my day.

...Should I assume that this harvesting is why you need a healer?

You realise you do not have to if you do not want to, yes? Terror makes one forget themselves.

Their venom is said to be a paralytic. It would be remiss of me not to take precautions.

That said, there is no shortage of the creatures. As long as you don't completely obliterate them I doubt the locals will complain about you thinning their numbers.

I'm not sure how one goes about milking the venom from a spider. I did prepare some bottles however. If you are able to hold the creature still then we can work from there.
