-> video

[This... is a subject that strikes close to Walter's heart. He has involved himself with these very events. He was one of the group who extracted the Fisher King's re-embodied soul from his cursed body, after having spent so much time tracking him. He had chased after the stone giant when it activated and began absorbing souls across the land. He had spent hours, days of hours, perhaps even weeks, researching, only to come up with hardly any information at all, save that it essentially digested souls, and that Morganna would likely be the only one to know more about it.

It had been frustration upon frustration, putting in so much work with results so slow to come to fruition. But he had continued to work at it, spending days away from 'home' at a time, enduring harsh treks and foul weather.

He is invested. So, rather than stick to text-based communication, he switches over to video.

His body frozen at fifteen due to the effects of distorted time, he looks perhaps even younger. Dark hair, pale skin, and clothes that cover all visible on the feed, the adolescent's fingers even concealed by the set of gloves he wears, Walter starts off... not angry, but mildly irritated.]

...From another perspective, one might come to the conclusion that the problem is us. We were the ones that caused the mess with the Fisher King. We were the ones who wanted a shortcut into Elphame and a better relationship with Celliwig. We were the ones who awoke that...

[It is here his upper lip curls, vehemence leaking into his tone.] ...mage, who then carelessly and callously caused the stone giant to stir, knowing what it was capable of.

Mankind also warred with the faeries, even after being allowed on these lands. They have preyed upon certain faerie races. We have been trouble-makers.

...That being said, since you have accepted her quest, you should see it through. Show her your resolve, Goddess of Death. Show her that your care for the dead is more than just talk.

[Is he encouraging her? Or goading her?

Probably both.]
