[ It's not a long wait, just as he'd promised. While she waits she and "Naila" listen to Gokudera describe his familiar. The more he says the more curious Katara becomes. Strange, but friendly, and smart too from the way he'd caught the keys.

Luckily she isn't left to wonder for long. She's surprised by Larry's appearance to say the least, but not in a bad way. He kind of looks like a cross between a turtleduck and a flying snake, missing the wings and shell. It's very clear that he's some type of aquatic creature, too, or at least that's Katara's assumption, and she's immediately curious.

Naila is just curious, honestly, and when Larry pokes at her with his snout Naila responds by sticking her nose closer and giving Larry an inquisitive sniff, then follows as Larry ducks behind Katara, probably not helping Gokudera's efforts at all.

Katara watches all of this with a growing sense of mirth until she can't contain it anymore, stooping down (careful of where Larry is hiding) with a laugh. ]

You weren't kidding, he's very friendly isn't he? Hi Larry, I'm Katara.

[ She smiles, holding her hand out to see if Larry is receptive of pets, but ready to pull her hand back if not.

Last time she saw a creature that even remotely resembled Larry, it was trying to eat her and her friends. Larry is much smaller and not-vicious. This? This is a marked improvement. ]

Oh, and Gokudera, this is Naila- I think. She hasn't told me yet if she likes that one or not.

[ Naila for her part turns away from Larry towards Gokudera, trying to sniff him now before giving him a big doggy grin. ]
