[There's a teenage boy with red hair, sitting cross-legged on his bed and running a hand through his hair. He's wearing a baggy yellow shirt and jeans, barefoot and with his trademark red and white beads at his wrist.]

A lot of this seems. Way too much for me to really figure doing much if anything to help. Or I guess I just feel that way. We didn't have magic back home and all. Not like this, just in stories or whatever. But here, it's...I guess I should figure this before anyone else finds me in my cat form.

[Cue him purposely changing this time. He has more of the hang of it in comparison to when he first arrived and more recently with being sick. He transforms into a little ginger cat the same colour as his hair. A couple of people might recognize him, or more might have seen him around here and there when he's still been learning, figuring this out or when he was sick and didn't quite have full control over it.

He doesn't stay in the form long, before changing back.]

If anything happens and someone finds me like that, just. Bring me back home. To Tohru. Is probably best.

[Kyo figures that to be the best option, so everyone knows just in case. Even if it feels weird to be more open about it like this. In comparison to back home where only Tohru and the Sohma know.]

I just. Figured to let you guys know. You know now.

[He turns the feed off then, trying not to dwell on the instinct to run. The instinct that this was the worst idea, in telling everyone. That instinct that this is supposed to be a secret. Except it isn't. Not here. Animal magic was something others, a lot of others had as well. He tries to remind himself that, as he runs a hand through his hair and drops the phone to the bed next to him.]

With any luck it does, but I hope you take care of your own safety just as much if it poses such a problem.

I'm not about to go up against dragons or whatever. I may be reckless but not that reckless. I'm aware I have my limits. Just new to this magic stuff and all.

You seem more used to it than myself, but I'm a new arrival. Still, I'm glad to hear you won't be chasing dragons.

[Even if she meant his first concern in such a situation should be himself rather than his friend— she leaves it at that.]

I've been here for a little bit. Not sure any of us are entirely really used to this. Maybe the locals, the ones actually from here or from other places with magic or whatever powers. It's just not a thing back home. Just in books or movies or games. Not real dragons or magic.

[He is rather hopeless though. In how he can't not consider Tohru. She's been a part of his life for so long, even if there was a period where he had his own life in between his visits with Kyoko, and Tohru later showing up to live at Shigure's place. Tohru is everything. He is the least subtle in how much he loves her.]

Besides, if I did try something like that, to try help deal with a dragon or whatever, she'd probably want to try come and help and then she'd be involved. I'm not about to lead her into this nonsense like that.

I don't disagree. I was merely commenting on how at ease you were in changing form compared to myself.

[ She hasn't yet fully figured out her own magic and hasn't... Exactly tried. She's not sure she wants to know (it'll come back to bite her in the butt soon enough, accidental magic style). Still there's no pause when she tacks on: ]

Oh, so you're only not chasing dragons because of her?

[Is that a teasing remark? Perhaps.]

I've been here longer than you. Is it really that much of a surprise? I'm still not entirely used to this place, let alone my other magic.

[He is still. Very much hesitant and learning, still unsure with his blood magic. But that is a work in progress. Probably will be for a while.]

I don't mean it like that. Dragons seem a bit much even for me. Even if I can fight.

I was trying to compliment you on how well you were doing.

Dragons might be a bit much for anybody. Isn't that why there's always so many stories about them?

I guess I might be doing better than some, anyway. Not like it's a competition.

[Honestly it probably would be though if Yuki were here. Just. Because. It's Kyo and Yuki, nobody would expect different. At least from Kyo anyway. He's mellowing out a lot but there is still that natural bristling nature that comes with being around Yuki.]

Stories, fairytales, movies, video games. I guess.

[ She wonders, minutely, if he's taking more from what she said than she has. Discards it as quickly and decides to move on. ]

Yes, well, I hope you and Miss Tohru stay well and avoid any needless dragons.

I don't even want to imagine her with a dragon. Knowing her she might try keep the thing as a pet or something, I dunno.
